Alberta Gary Memorial United Methodist Church is a beautiful and historic church nestled amid the busyness of Columbia, Maryland. We have a unique history, a unique building, and a truly unique name (read more about that on our history page). But we share with the whole Body of Christ a dedication to spreading God's good news and making disciples of Jesus Christ. We invite you to join us for worship or fellowship!
Alberta Gary Memorial is a congregation of the United Methodist Church, a worldwide denomination dedicated to making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Since July of 2026, our congregation is served by Pastor Angela Pupino.

Our Sunday worship is a traditional United Methodist service, a liturgical pattern of gathering, sharing the Word of God, responding to that proclaimed message, and sending forth into the world. If you're not familiar, no problem. Everything is printed and available for you to follow along with.
We at AGMUMC especially love our music— beginning worship with an impromptu hymn sing (come and call out your favorite hymns!), enjoying classical music for meditation throughout, and closing by singing the Lord's Prayer.
There is no dress code for worship, so come as you are. We post scripture readings and sermons to our Facebook page every Sunday for those seeking to worship at a distance.
