Our Pastor
Pastor Angela Pupino is finishing her Master of Divinity at Wesley Theological Seminary and is pursuing ordination as an Elder in the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church. Pastor Angela is passionate about ministry across generations and brings four years of experience as Student Ministries Coordinator at National UMC. She also adores United Methodist history, completing her pastoral internship in May 2026 with Historic Old Otterbein UMC and the Baltimore-Washington Conference Archives. She lives in Washington, DC, and is excited to get to know Columbia and its surrounding communities.
What We Believe
Alberta Gary Memorial United Methodist Church belongs to The United Methodist Church, which traces its history back to John Wesley’s ministry of church renewal in England and North America. Through Wesley (1703-1791), we share in older Christian tradition reaching back in history through the Church of England and the Catholic Church back to the earliest Apostles. Today, the United Methodist church is a denomination of more than six million Christians in the United States and about five million more around the world. We are a member of the Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference (regional area) of the United Methodist Church. The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
