Blessing box
You may be wondering, "What is a Blessing Box?" Have you ever seen a free library box maybe in someone's yard or in a community area? A Blessing Box is very similar. The box is a small pantry stocked with free food and personal care items like toothbrushes and diapers for people in need of these items.
All of the items inside our box is free and there are no forms to fill out. Those using our box can come and go as they wish. And that sense of anonymity is something you won't find at traditional community food pantries.
We at Alberta Gary Memorial UMC care about our community and know that times can be hard. We hope that through our pantry we can help remove some of the stress you're facing.
We also encourage those in the community who would like to help their neighbors to feel free to bring items to place in the box for others.
Through the Blessing Box we encourage you to,
"Take what you need, Give what you can, but most of all be Blessed!"
